"My name is Lawrence Hardy and I'm 30 years old. I am a photographer based out of Houlton, Maine. When I'm not shooting, I work on railroads all over the east coast as a trackmen/operator, I also am a freelance photographer for Go Daddy. Most importantly I am a father to a beautiful 1 year old boy named Asher and a boyfriend of 5 years to an inspiring, beautiful, and strong woman named Danika.I discovered photography in a way where it was part of saving my life. After my father passed, when I was 19, I went down a path of slow self destruction by using drugs, 9 years into my reckless ways I ended up becoming a dysfunctional heroin addict. Almost 3 years ago I broke down and finally truly listened to myself and other loved ones and got the help I needed. Now this is where photography helped save my life, I had so much time on my hands now that I wasn't chasing my next high or getting high, so one day I was just scrolling through Instagram and across a magazine page, I saw multiple photos that really spoke to me and I thought to myself "I would love to create beautiful photos like these .” — Lawrence Hardy.
