@ordinaryauckland is a street photography project that captures subtle energy of urban and suburban corners in the city of Auckland, New Zealand. The project seeks to uncover and appreciate unnoticed patterns, textures, objects and shapes during mundane encounters. In the making of the series, all that required of me was a little bit more of dedications to my surroundings: the soil that I set my feet on, the breeze came from southwest, the warmth carried by the sunray, and the sudden quietness when there were no cars around. When the mind is at ease, one is able to feel the tiniest vibrations in the air. I tried to follow these hints closely behind and pointed my camera accordingly. What was an ordinary neighbourhood is filled with delightful discoveries.
